This is where I give you some insight about myself. I’m Mike!

I am a 37 year old father, husband, brother, son etc. I love what I do for a living and hope to be able to do it for many more years to come.

I work on Fortinet devices all day every day. I was originally pulled to Fortinet devices back in 2010 when I began working for a smaller IT firm that was locally based. They didn’t have a lot of Fortinet experience and the hardware that they were using at the client’s offices sucked (nicest way I can think to put it). I fixed that quickly. I love Fortinet appliances because of the lower TCO and robust capabilities.

I am one of the few that gets sent in to resolve Fortinet related issues when other resellers mess up. I am the cleaning crew. You would be amazed at how little most Fortinet Value Added Resellers (VARs) know when it comes to the hardware capabilities and configuration. I am happy that they exist though as it keeps me employed! You will see me slam products like Palo Alto (which I actually love), Meraki (which I truly do hate), etc. Don’t let my personal opinion sway your views on the hardware. By all means try it for yourself and see the power of each.

This site is meant to be educational and at the same time entertaining. The Fortinet GURU is a character. If you speak to me in person you will see that I am a very down to earth guy that is easy to talk to. I talk slow and with a strong southern drawl (I live in the south for crying out loud) , but I’m smarter than I let on. 🙂 If you need legit help with your Fortinet hardware and want some consulting to be performed then please give me a shout.
